INTERPERSONAL METAPHOR IN R. S. REGIN SILVEST AND MALINI GANAPATHY’S ANTHOLOGY OF COVID-19 POEMS.

This study investigates Interpersonal Metaphor in R.S. Regin Silvest and Malini Ganapathy’s Anthology of Covid-19 Poems. The objectives the are (1) to analyze kinds interpersonal metaphor applied Poems, (2) describe how (3) explain reason for realization conducted qualitative research, as result fifty poems there thirty five Poems that indicate Metaphor. Result revealed were sixty-three found this namely, Mood thirty-seven Modality twenty-six, Speech Function, Question Declarative 18 (49%), Command 13 (35%), Statement Interrogative 5 (13%), Imperative 1 (3%), And modality Modalization 14 (54%) Modulation 12 (46%). From which consist Metaphor, four meanings messages found, Expressing fear 15 (43%), advice lesson about 11 (31%), Delivering spirit positive energy during Pandemic (14%) hope better days 4 (12%).
